Our story
Hi sweet human,
My name is Taylor Lauer, I am the crazy eyed girl behind Taylored Events. I am just a small town Jesus lovin' girl who loves to laugh. I love to create beauty out of ordinary things. I am sucker for thrifting, dancing, hats and food trucks. I am always looking for a new adventure and to meet new people.
The why
I have a lingering and never ceasing desire for beauty. For as long as I can remember, I tend to stop and stare a little longer at beauty. Whether it's a bright and blazing sunset, the way rain falls down your window, a detailed bouquet or the wrinkles formed on faces filled with laughter, it fills my heart. Each of these are beautiful in their own way, and these are the details that make any day memorable.
Since I could talk I was a natural born leader, visionary and people person. I adore working with others, and creating efficient and hardworking teams. As a wedding planner I have been able to create wedding teams and empower other vendors. Being a visionary I can see the big picture. I can take your vision, bring together the pieces and and create the puzzle you could only see in your head. Lastly, each of my clients becomes a friend. This is truly so sweet and such an honor. I just adore how close we become, the laughs and conversation throughout the duration of planning, and often keeping our friendship after you’ve tied the knot.
I have found wedding and event planning fits my love for beauty, people and desire to empower others. It brings me great joy to use these gifts, and work alongside my clients to make their dream come true.

Hello!! My name is Madison,and I love all things wedding!! I have been in the bridal industry for 7 years. I have been married to my best friend for a year and a half and we have the sweetest chihuahua named Gladys. I was born and raised in Arizona but moved to Oregon in February! I have a passion for hyping women up and helping them feel their best on their big day!

Hi there! I grew up in Newport, Oregon. I can luckily call the Pacific Northwest my beautiful home. My husband and I love to enjoy the outdoors! We had a sweet baby boy this year and I have never known a greater love. I have been an elementary school teacher for over 10 years. Teaching kids will always be a passion of mine, but I have recently stepped into the wedding scene and have found joy in coordinating these special days. I believe weddings are truly magical and are something to be cherished and enjoyed.

We're currently working with Taylor to plan our wedding for this summer, and she's been great all around! Taylor met us at our venue to scout it out and start envisioning our special day right away upon starting to work together, and she's been super helpful in contacting vendors in line with our desires for food, activities, cake tastings, photos, and even our engagement party! She's handled vendor contracts on our behalf, allowing us to focus on our story and our loved ones, and has had constant suggestions for everything from makeup artists to bakeries for the cake, so we can choose what we like from a few good options and save the time it takes to sort through so many. Taylor keeps the planning on track, and guides our sense of timeline in a responsible and considerate way. We're not at all worried about any parts not coming together, and she's responded with ease to accommodate changes in our preferences or plans. We highly recommend working with her - best decision we've made in planning our wedding!

Taylor is warm, kind, and organized. I have been excited to find my forever person and get married since the day I watched my first Disney movie wedding. Despite this excitement, I have no idea what goes into planning such a special event. Taylor knew what questions to ask to pull out my vision and has been a helpful and gentle guide to my procrastinating spirit. I am so grateful to not have to do the back and forth with vendors or worry about day of details because I know that Taylor will have my back! She's also really great at gentle reminders which I appreciate because, like I mentioned, I procrastinate. B’not Mitzvah
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we hadn’t been sure we’d be able to throw a party to celebrate our daughters’ B’not Mitzvah, and when it became clear (thankfully!) that we’d be able to safely do so, we had very little time and still less expertise to pull it off—Taylored Events to the rescue! Over the course of a mere nine weeks, Taylor Lauer connected us with professional and creative vendors across the Portland area and—with an amazing, personalized eye for detail on the décor side of things—produced an unforgettable evening. It’s no easy feat to balance the tastes of two teenagers and their parents, but Taylor did so with grace and good humor. The result was everything we could have imagined and more: a once in a lifetime party that was culturally-aware, budget-conscious, quirky, elegant, over-the-top, and deeply personal.

My (now) husband, myself and my family absolutely loved working with Taylor for our wedding in Arizona. My mom and my husbands family specifically made a point to bring up to us what a joy she was to have as a part of our team and how much they appreciated her. From the start of our coordination meetings, to the rehearsal and to the end of our time together at the wedding Taylor was a great communicator, kind, positive, flexible and thoughtful. She made sure I was drinking water, comfortable (like changing shoes or outfits), kept everyone on track (time wise and location wise) and also accommodated anything that came up throughout the day. We very highly recommend her, she’s a gem and she made everything happen seamlessly.
